Open the Wii U Menu / HOME Menu and select icon of shopping bag to open Nintendo eShop. Once in the Nintendo eShop, select ENTER DOWNLOAD CODE.
On the next screen, enter your download code then follow the on-screen instructions.
Once you have redeemed this download code on Nintendo eShop, you will receive a free download code for the Nintendo 3DS version of the game. The download code will be shown on the screen after redemption, and also on the receipt. You can redeem it on Nintendo eShop on any Nintendo 3DS system.
